Game of Thrones is an American television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, from the literary saga of medieval fantasy The Iron Throne of George R. R. Martin, simulcast in the U.S. and Canada since April 17, 2011 on HBO and HBO Canada.
A second season was announced two days after the first airing of the series, is in phase production1.
The series describes the plots and rivalries that are played within the Kingdom of the Seven Kingdoms, where the royal families struggling to seize the throne of iron, the symbol of absolute power.
